Latter-day Saints (“Mormons”) are encouraged to attend the temple to participate in sacred ordinances and make sacred covenants with God. To enter the temple, members must be worthy and hold a current temple recommend. To obtain a temple recommend, members must meet with their bishop or branch president and answer a series of questions about their worthiness.
The questions cover a variety of topics, including obedience to the commandments, moral conduct, and personal worthiness. They are designed to help members evaluate their own lives and make any necessary changes to be worthy to enter the temple.
