Wetter Hattorf am Harz is a town in the district of Gttingen, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated in the Harz mountain range, approximately 10 kilometers south of Osterode am Harz. As of 2020, the town has a population of around 4,000 people.
Wetter Hattorf am Harz is a popular tourist destination, due to its beautiful scenery and its proximity to the Harz National Park. The town is also home to a number of historical sites, including the ruins of the Burg Hanstein castle and the St. Marienkirche church. The town was first mentioned in a document in 1290, and it received its town charter in 1433. Wetter Hattorf am Harz is a member of the Samtgemeinde Hattorf am Harz, which is a collective municipality.
