Wetter Furth im Wald is a town in the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria, Germany. It is located on the Regen River, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) northeast of Regensburg. The town has a population of around 9,000 people.
The name Furth im Wald means “ford in the forest.” The town was first mentioned in a document from 1125. It was granted market rights in 1325 and town rights in 1458. Furth im Wald was an important trading center in the Middle Ages. It was also a fortified town, and its walls were not demolished until the 19th century.
